The painful process of waiting by the telephone and repeatedly checking your emails is part of the industry. If the job is yours then you will be contacted, but not always as soon as you would like. Shoots are often rescheduled and postponed. It is rare to receive any sort of contact if you are not chosen for the job. It is not common practice in the industry to inform all unsuccessful candidates. The best policy is to do the casting then clear the job from your mind.
